We recognize how important your senior pet family members are to you and would like to keep them happy and healthy as long as possible. Statistically, 1 out of 5 dogs and 1 out of 4 cats has an underlying condition that cannot be diagnosed with a physical exam alone. The gradual onset of disease in seemingly healthy pets will often go unnoticed. Many times, the symptoms you may perceive as normal aging are actually signs that something may be wrong. Once symptoms do appear, the condition may be difficult and costly to treat and diagnose. This is why an Early Detection Program is vital to your petpet'sality of life. This program includes a comprehensive physical exam and laboratory tests your veterinarian can use to diagnose blood disorders, kidney and liver disease, diabetes, infection, thyroid disease, and other hormonal problems. Many of these conditions can be prevented, controlled, or reversed if diagnosed early.

For the continued health of your senior pet, we recommend a comprehensive physical exam, including laboratory tests every six months. Pets age 5 – 7 times faster than humans. If a pet is seen by its veterinarian once a year, that’s equivalent to you being seen once every seven years by your veterinarian.
